Damn...

This would be such a great song with better synths! I have already asked this in another review but what program are you using? We around the same age and both just started submitting music to Newgrounds, I hope to keep up to date with you! Man this is really catchy... too bad about the low quality synths...

Havegum responds:

Hmm youre kinda rigth with the synth...
its GarageBand 08 incase u didnt see the first one :D

Hehe...

Nice loop! I really like the explosion and fade in in the beginning. But what program are you using? I would have chosen a better percussion set. And you also need some bass in there. Oh and nice Author Comment thing by the way haha... I could see this being used in a flash game yeah.

Havegum responds:

Hey!
Oh no! Youre completely right! I miss the basic drums n bass!
Thank you for notice, i will use this experience when creating new songs ;)
Also, yeah i would love to see this song in a video game xD.

I uses GarageBand 08 btw. (only for mac)
Thanks for review!

AWW MAN!

Aww too bad... This would be such a great trance loop if it looped properly! I really like it... But grr at the unloopiness.

hehe

Good song but...

But song, but I don't really like your singing. A bit out of tune. Usually I would write a better review with loads of constructive criticism and all that jazz but i'm too tired. But yeah apart from the vocals I really like this piece.

Yeah, vox suck but w/e

Did things to me...

I loved the atmosphere of this piece... Dude you actually made me have to go and play the game again. Can't wait for the final version of this piece.

The-MickMad responds:

thanks for reviewing :) btw u should listen to my other zelda works if u liked this ;)

Wow, very interesting...

I left this on loop for quite a while and completely forgot about it; i just got swallowed by the whole mood and atmosphere of this piece... The silences in awkward places really push the atmosphere, I love it, and some of the more obscure sounds make it really... kinda sinister.

9/9, RESPECT. *downloaded*

thank you thank you thank you

Ohhh relaxing much?

I could go to sleep to this I love it, does it matter that it only has two chords? (except for the end) No, it's perfect and simple. Love the bass solo in the middle, and all the dim chords at the end :) Respect.

Oh and... love the name...

midimachine responds:

Well, it's actually 4 chords (Dm7add9, EbMaj7add9, F6 and Ebmadd9) but the interval differences are really very little.

Thanks for the kind words!

Good... but

Relaxing and very catchy, but a bit to repetitive, especially for a funk song. I think this would be better as a loop.

As soon as the main melody kicked in I instantly thought of Jazz Jackrabbit. Ever played that? If you have you'll know what I mean. And yeah, I can hear the Daft Punk-esk elements. Well done :)

midimachine responds:

Dude, I was totally going for something really sassy like the Jazz soundtrack so that comparison has made my day.

And yeah it is kinda meant to be VG music and a loop, But this is where I reach a dilemma because if I stick it in the VG section it'll get swallowed by shitty remixes and blatantly stolen music within a nanosecond.

Thanks for the kind words!
